Digital wallets assign a unique, encrypted digital card number that's linked to your payment method, making them more secure than physical cards. Even if someone were to breach the encryption, the number they'd obtain isn't your actual card number, further enhancing the security of digital wallets.

Apple Pay

Add your eligible Desert Financial card to Apple Pay using Passbook®.

Hold your iPhone® 6 or newer or Apple Watch near a merchant’s card reader and authorize your payment with your finger on Touch IDTM.

Security Info

Purchases with Apple Pay and your Desert Financial card utilize the following security methods:

  • Your full card number and identity are not shown to the merchant
  • A unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element, a dedicated chip
  • If your iPhone or iPad is ever lost or stolen, you can use Find My iPhone to quickly put your device in Lost Mode and suspend Apple Pay
  • Transactions are monitored by Desert Financial's risk and fraud detection systems
