Savings Certificate FAQ

Both Savings Certificate and CD accounts offer high fixed interest rates for keeping your money in the account for the term of the certificate. The main difference is that Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are issued by banks while Savings Certificates are issued by credit unions.

There's no limit for internal transfers, but there's a maximum of $99,999.99 for ACH transfers. If you need to open a certificate for $100,000 or more from another financial institution, please visit a Desert Financial branch.

APY = Annual Percentage Yield Dividends reported annually via 1099-INT. Consult your tax adviser regarding your individual tax situation. *Dividend penalties apply for early withdrawal. Rates are based on the date/time that funds are received and processed.

Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is accurate as of September 22, 2023. Rates may change at any time without prior notice, before or after the account is opened. Fees could reduce earnings on the account. Dividends are paid on the entire balance once the tier minimum is met.
