Children’s Museum of Phoenix
More than 150 leaders from departments across Desert Financial volunteered at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, participating in a plethora of activities including assembling classroom sets of dental hygiene kits, putting together museum information packets, preparing materials for art projects, reading to children in the exhibits, hosting interactive activities and more.

Heat Relief Backpacks
To help individuals experiencing homelessness in the Valley, we assembled 400 heat relief backpacks to be distributed by Human Services Campus and St. Vincent de Paul. The backpacks contained insulated water bottles, bandanas, hats, sunscreen, dog food and more.
For Father’s Day, branches around the Valley surprised members with gifts like screwdriver kits, drill sets, coolers filled with soda and snacks, golf experience packages, Bluetooth speakers and more.

The Joy Bus Diner is a nonprofit restaurant in Phoenix that supports The Joy Bus, 癌症患者提供营养膳食的吗. We paid for patrons’ meals at the diner and left a tip for the staff.
When a local musician had his guitar stolen from his vehicle, we browsed guitars with him at an instrument store and bought him a new guitar that was similar to the one that was taken.

Throughout the year, we’re rewarding the Arizona educators who are shaping our next generation by hosting special events, providing school supplies and so much more!
Featured Teacher Appreciation Event
Veora E. Johnson Elementary School
We treated teachers and staff at Veora E. Johnson Elementary School in Mesa to a pizza and salad lunch. We also provided a fully stocked snack cart and school supplies including notepads, pens, pencils and Lysol wipes.
Team members from our Payson Walmart branch provided lunch for and donated supplies to teachers at Rim Country Middle School.
Our San Tan Village branch staff brought lunch from Costa Vida and gift bags to teachers at Gateway Pointe Elementary School in Gilbert.
Imagine East Mesa Charter School received a wide range of supplies, gift cards and snacks from staff at our Eastmark Safeway branch.
